pink roses and the buzz of bees

here is my desk tidied, i am glad i only took this photo to show you. i found some thread i would have used in lacemaking, that i can certainly apply to quiltmaking. and i needed to shift a lot of stuff quickly because help was needed with the computer, and i almost do not recognize the room. eek.
the pile of papers has been evenly distributed and is under this desk,
but here is the floor and one beautiful quilt's progress.

if you would like to copy feel free, the colours are free, and i would love to see yours too.
a red centre, pink, light blue, yellow, and white for the sunshine.
a darker red, navy blue?, purple, and black for the shadow. it is coming together.
and this is now how i think the back will be.

and this morning i woke early and everything that had been too difficult, it seemed anyway from the book i am using, turned easy. i am going to paper piece! for a long time to come. this would be much quicker to make if i had a machine.

xx
