learning to qayg.

this is how is the first two rows of the field of dreams rainbow jane quilt i am making looks. i needed something quick and easy to make and so i chose this very simple block to make it with.

rainbows come in the cloud so my blue and white are for clouds. the second row just needs to be sewn down on the back. the yellow block is bendy because of the pin. and yesterday, thank you for that helpful comment, it looks like orange to me, it was. quilt as you go is surely a wonderful method, any mistakes can so easily be rectified.
i am waiting for five metres of white cotton to make one-piece sashings across the breadth.
linking to Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts who will help me further my quilting journey. when i was a child i enjoyed Little Golden Books and in one a drawing of quilt hills. so lovely. these things stay with you. and near where we lived there were lavender hills or i knew them as that.

with love,
xx

  4. Looks like you are doing great with your quilt as you go. I've done it on smaller projects but not a full quilt yet.
